The final conclusions of the Government\u2019s Telecoms Supply Chain Review in relation to high risk vendors were announced on 28 January. High risk vendors should be excluded from those parts of the 5G and full fibre networks that are critical to security (\u201cthe core\u201d), and their presence in the rest of the UK\u2019s networks should be limited to 35 per cent, with further restrictions in sensitive geographic locations.<\/p>

The UK Government does not plan to reconsider this decision. The Office for National Statistics publishes the weekly numbers of deaths registered in England and Wales, and National Records Scotland and the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency are responsible for publishing the number of deaths registered in Scotland and Northern Ireland respectively. The number of deaths from COVID-19 are published rather than the percentage of the population who have died from COVID-19, as this is a more useful an accurate way of keeping a consistent record of death data.<\/p>
