As registered food premises, the House of Lords catering facilities are subject to inspections from Westminster City Council (WCC). At the last inspection in November 2017, the Environmental Health Officer from WCC Food Safety Team awarded the highest rating of 5 for all House of Lords catering outlets in the Palace of Westminster; Millbank House facilities were inspected in November 2016 and also received a 5 rating. It is a recommendation but not a legal requirement to display the food hygiene rating sticker. Local authorities have a duty to secure sufficient childcare for families in their local areas. The department will continue to support all local authorities to deliver the government\u2019s childcare offers and ensure sufficient places, through direct support from departmental officials and our delivery partners. In September 2018, we also announced a year extension to the Childcare Works contract, which will see continued support being provided to local authorities and childcare providers in helping to deliver the government entitlements.<\/p>
<\/p>
The department is committed to ensuring all parents have access to high-quality affordable childcare. We recognise that providers and families living and operating in rural communities are faced with particular barriers to delivering and accessing childcare. That is why under the new early years national funding formula introduced in 2017, local authorities can use a rurality or sparsity supplement in their local funding formulae.<\/p>

The department is keen to ensure that all T level students will have access to high quality industry placements.<\/p>
The consultation on T levels earlier this year asked how we can support all students to access industry placements relevant to their course in areas where there are not employers to offer industry placements nearby. Feedback from this, and from the industry placement pilot scheme last year, helped identify what support is needed[1]. We have provided nearly £60 million this academic year to help post-16 providers to build their capacity and capability to deliver industry placements in advance of T level roll-out. We are working with the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs to understand how students in rural, coastal and remote areas can access industry placements.<\/p>
We are carrying out extensive stakeholder engagement across levy industries to ensure that industry placement policy generates placements that are meaningful and reflective of current industry practice. This will help to widen access to T levels in all parts of the country.<\/p>

As we set out in the government response to the T level consultation, published in May 2018, we intend to award an overall grade for T levels. An overall grade will be awarded to any students who successfully complete all of the required components, including attainment of the technical qualification, completion of the industry placement, attainment of level 2 English and maths and achievement of any other specified elements of the T level programme.<\/p>
