While HM Treasury sets the legislative framework for the regulation of financial services, the supervision and regulation of the financial services industry is a matter for the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). The FCA is an independent, non-governmental body and HM Treasury cannot intervene in individual cases.<\/p>

Investment in real estate is regulated by the FCA where it is undertaken as a consequence of having taken regulated financial advice, or by way of a regulated collective investment scheme. In 2014, the FCA prohibited the promotion of unregulated collective investment schemes, such as EcoHouse, and non-mainstream pooled investments to retail investors.<\/p>

The Government believes that effective pesticides should be authorised where the scientific evidence shows they do not pose unacceptable risks to human health or the environment. UK and EU specialists have identified no safety concerns which would preclude the continuing use of glyphosate so the Government supports its continued approval.<\/p>
<\/p>
The European Parliament does not have a formal role in the decision-making process for this issue. The decision will be taken by the European Commission following a vote by Member States. That decision will be binding on the UK while we are still within the EU.<\/p>"}

Through our Industrial Strategy, we will strengthen the growth of markets for clean technologies in the UK, to support the development of the UK supply chains that will create jobs and drive future exports. We will focus on building long-term competitive advantage, to maximise the UK\u2019s share of global markets as they are transformed by the shift to clean growth.<\/p>
We introduced Supply Chain Plans as part of the Contract For Difference allocation round requirements for low carbon electricity projects of 300MW generating capacity or more. The introduction of Supply Chain Plans has helped drive behavioural change with developers, increasing competition, identifying barriers to entry and enabling more companies to compete, including UK companies. For example, UK content has increased to 48% since the first CFD allocation round.<\/p>

The incidence of meningococcal group C (MenC) disease is very low in infants and young children in the United Kingdom.<\/p>
<\/p>
In June 2015, our expert committee, the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI), recommended that children now need two rather than three doses of a vaccine that protects against MenC. As a result the UK vaccination schedule changed from 1 July 2016.<\/p>
<\/p>
Children no longer have a dose of MenC vaccine at three months of age. However they continue to be protected against group C meningococcal disease through the routine 12-month MenC/Haemophilus influenza type b (Hib) vaccine and the combined vaccine offered as part of the teenage vaccination programme which protects against meningococcal groups A, C, W, and Y. In addition, the Bexsero vaccine used for the Meningocooccal group B infant vaccination programme, offered at two, four and 12 months, may provide some protection against certain strains of MenC.<\/p>
<\/p>
There are no plans to reintroduce the infant dose of MenC vaccination. The JCVI keeps all programmes under review.<\/p>"}
