As Mr Halawa is an Irish citizen, the Irish Government is taking the lead on his case and has been monitoring his trial; we have offered our support. FCO Ministers have asked the Egyptian authorities to review mass judicial decisions and we continue to raise concerns regarding reports of torture and mistreatment in detention with the Egyptian authorities. We have also raised our concerns at the UN, most recently at the Human Rights Council in September. In our statement we raised our concerns about reports of torture, poor detention conditions and the handing down of death sentences, as well as mass trials.<\/p>"}

DFID is building on existing work to address new challenges facing female refugees, including a new Women and Girls Protection Fund to protect women and girls on the move in Libya and Europe. The fund will provide over 68,000 refugees, asylum seekers and migrants with psychosocial support, medical care and specialist case-workers for potential victims of gender-based violence and trafficking.<\/p>

In 2013 the UK hosted the \u2018Call to Action on Preventing Gender-Based Violence in Emergencies\u2019 where we committed to improving our response to gendered violence in emergencies.<\/p>
At the World Humanitarian Summit in 2016, the UK further committed to drive accountability for gender responsive humanitarian action, by supporting the US Real Time Accountability Partnership. This requires our humanitarian partners to make use of internationally agreed tools such as the \u2018Guidelines for Integrating Gender-Based Violence Interventions in Humanitarian Action\u2019 in their programme design.<\/p>

The Government have committed more than £2 billion since 2011 to reduce transport emissions and the Autumn Statement provided a further £290 million to support greener transport.<\/p>

We are developing the Air Pollution Action Plan. This is to tackle the five main pollutants: sulphur dioxide, nitrogen oxides, non-methane volatile organic compounds, ammonia and fine particulate matter.
