Her Majesty\u2019s Government\u2019s long-standing policy on Taiwan has not changed. The British Government refers to Taiwan as simply \u201cTaiwan\u201d and, when included in a list of places, does so under an inclusive heading, such as \u201ccountry/territory\u201d or \u201cworld locations\u201d. When guidance has been sought from HMG on the terminology to use, we have been clear about the British Government\u2019s terminology for Taiwan.<\/p>
Private companies and organisations should be able to decide the terminology that they use to list destinations. UK companies should not be placed under political pressure to make changes. FCO Officials have registered our concern with the Chinese Government on this point.<\/p>

The UK Government strongly condemns religious persecution and we will continue to engage the Government of Pakistan on the need to uphold the social, economic and political rights of all of its citizens, regardless of faith, gender or ethnicity. Expenditure on smoking cessation advertising media by Public Health England (PHE) in 2016-17 was £1,520,000.<\/p>

The projected expenditure for smoking cessation campaigns for PHE campaigns in 2017-18 is £2,060,000. Figures for 2017-18 are provisional at this stage. A final amount will be available later in the year once all accounts have been finalised.<\/p>
<\/p>
