We are working very closely with the sector on a wide range of activity to deliver the workforce strategy commitments to support recruitment and retention, including:

o Improving information available to careers advisors so they can better understand career opportunities in the sector and can promote these.

o Consulting on new, strengthened, level two qualification criteria, which will provide a stronger foundation for progression to level three and beyond.

o Funding a new Continuous Professional Development and training hub for early years and the development of new training materials and courses for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities practice.

A new £20 million fund, announced in the social mobility action plan, will also ensure early years practitioners in disadvantaged areas have access to high quality professional development support.
"}

The cost of rebranding the exterior and interior of London North Eastern Railway’s current fleet is estimated to be £447,773.00. This equates to £9077.00 per train. The rebranding has begun and will be completed as soon as practicable alongside the regular maintenance schedule for the fleet.

The Virgin brand was used under licence by the previous train operating company on the East Coast. It was therefore necessary to design and develop a new brand which the Department has the right to use, and without an ongoing cost.

My Rt Honourable Friend, the Secretary of State, responded on 9 July to the outline proposals for devolution to authorities within Yorkshire which 18 council leaders submitted on 5 March 2018. His response makes clear that whilst we are prepared to consider any proposals, until the Sheffield City Region devolution deal is fully implemented, the Government is not prepared to enter into any discussion about wider devolution arrangements in Yorkshire that would include some or all of the Sheffield City Region authorities. I am in informal discussions with the newly elected mayor for that City Region who is looking to work closely with us to unlock the benefits of devolution – first to implement the 2015 Sheffield City Region devolution agreement.
"}

The Government has produced guidance in conjunction with experts in clinical practice and in the field of design for those who produce medicines packaging which recommends the judicious use of colour to ensure medicines are well differentiated to reduce the likelihood of error. In developing the principles within this guidance, the views of healthcare professionals and patients have been considered.

While there are detailed legal requirements with respect to the content of the information provided on the packaging there are no provisions with respect to colour and design of the packaging when presented to the market place.

Published research points to the similarity of packaging contributing adversely to selection errors in the pharmacy and other clinical settings. In addition, we are also mindful of the views expressed by patients whereby differences in appearance of medicines from different suppliers can be confusing.
