The Government considered the potential value of hydrogen production from waste in the July UK Hydrogen Strategy Update to Market. Projects seeking to produce electrolytic hydrogen using energy from waste are already able to apply for support where they can show they meet the current Low Carbon Hydrogen Standard. The Government is considering this production route as it supports UK domestic production, including the appropriate carbon accounting regime under future iterations of the Standard.
"} , "answeringMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/1482", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Graham Stuart"} } , "answeringMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Beverley and Holderness"} , "answeringMemberPrinted" : {"_value" : "Graham Stuart"} , "dateOfAnswer" : {"_value" : "2023-01-09", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "groupedQuestionUIN" : {"_value" : "112037"} , "isMinisterialCorrection" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "questionFirstAnswered" : [{"_value" : "2023-01-09T13:57:26.65Z", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} ]} , "answeringDeptId" : {"_value" : "201"} , "answeringDeptShortName" : {"_value" : "Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy"} , "answeringDeptSortName" : {"_value" : "Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy"} , "date" : {"_value" : "2022-12-16", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "hansardHeading" : {"_value" : "Hydrogen: Production"} , "houseId" : {"_value" : "1"} , "legislature" : [{"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/terms/25259", "prefLabel" : {"_value" : "House of Commons"} } ], "questionText" : "To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, what steps his Department is taking to assess and support alternative pathways for low carbon hydrogen not considered in this year’s Low Carbon Hydrogen Standard, such as electrolytic hydrogen from energy from waste, ahead of the planned update to the Standard next year.", "registeredInterest" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "tablingMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/62", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Dr Alan Whitehead"} } , "tablingMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Southampton, Test"} , "tablingMemberPrinted" : [{"_value" : "Dr Alan Whitehead"} ], "uin" : "112038"} , {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/resources/1249189", "AnsweringBody" : [{"_value" : "Department of Health and Social Care"} ], "answer" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/resources/1249189/answer", "answerText" : {"_value" : "

Police and Crime Plans are an important strategic planning tool for Police and Crime Commissioners (PCCs) and were introduced as a statutory requirement for commissioners as part of the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011. The legislation is clear that their development should be informed by a comprehensive understanding of local needs, resources and priorities and consider the views of the public, partners and other stakeholders.

The 2011 Act sets out that PCCs may vary their Police and Crime Plan at any time, the frequency with which this is done is determined on the basis of local need. The legislation requires PCCs to consult the chief constable on any proposed variation to the plan. PCCs must also send the draft variation to the Police and Crime Panel for the area for local scrutiny and must then have regard to any report or recommendation made by the panel.

PCCs are also required to produce an annual report at the end of each financial year to provide the public with an update on the progress which has been made in meeting the police and crime objectives contained within the plan.
"} , "answeringMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/1561", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Mr Nick Hurd"} } , "answeringMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Ruislip, Northwood and Pinner"} , "answeringMemberPrinted" : {"_value" : "Mr Nick Hurd"} , "dateOfAnswer" : {"_value" : "2017-11-16", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "isMinisterialCorrection" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "questionFirstAnswered" : [{"_value" : "2017-11-16T16:30:03.487Z", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} ]} , "answeringDeptId" : {"_value" : "1"} , "answeringDeptShortName" : {"_value" : "Home Office"} , "answeringDeptSortName" : {"_value" : "Home Office"} , "date" : {"_value" : "2017-11-07", "_datatype" : "dateTime"} , "hansardHeading" : {"_value" : "Police and Crime Commissioners"} , "houseId" : {"_value" : "1"} , "legislature" : [{"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/terms/25259", "prefLabel" : {"_value" : "House of Commons"} } ], "questionText" : "To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether police and crime commissioners are required to consult the public on changes to their Police and Crime Plan within the plan's timeframe.", "registeredInterest" : {"_value" : "false", "_datatype" : "boolean"} , "tablingMember" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/members/4473", "label" : {"_value" : "Biography information for Louise Haigh"} } , "tablingMemberConstituency" : {"_value" : "Sheffield, Heeley"} , "tablingMemberPrinted" : [{"_value" : "Louise Haigh"} ], "uin" : "112038"} ], "itemsPerPage" : 10, "page" : 0, "startIndex" : 1, "totalResults" : 3, "type" : ["http://purl.org/linked-data/api/vocab#ListEndpoint", "http://purl.org/linked-data/api/vocab#Page"]} }
