      ], "answer" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/resources/1415953/answer", "answerText" : {"_value" : "<p>The Government has not estimated the cost to the Exchequer of removing VAT for all building works undertaken for the adaptation of a residential property to meet a disabled person\u2019s needs.<\/p><p>The scope of the existing VAT reliefs covers alterations specifically for assisting with a disability.<\/p><p>Disabled people benefit from the zero rate of VAT on certain building works, the reduced VAT rate of 5 per cent on residential construction under certain conditions, and some additional zero-rates on alterations such as work on ramps, bathrooms, lifts, and widening doorways.<\/p><p>Although all taxes are kept under review, the Government has no plans to introduce new VAT reliefs at this time.<\/p>"}

We are committed to ensuring the health and social care system in England realises the benefits of sharing data in a safe, secure and legal way.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>Government policy has outlined the importance of sharing data between organisations at a local level. The Department has worked with the Centre of Excellence for Information Sharing to understand the factors which impact on information sharing in mental health crisis care.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>Challenges around transferring patient notes and records between different organisations and care settings are recognised and will be addressed, in part, by the move from paper records to electronic systems for recording and sharing patient information.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>\u2018Information: To Share or not to share? The Information Governance Review\u2019 (2013) created a duty on National Health Service trusts to share information. NHS trusts have to demonstrate in their annual information governance return how they are fulfilling this duty.<\/p>"}
