Its mission is to implement a consistently high standard of wound care across England, reducing unnecessary variation, improving safety and by optimising patient experience and outcomes.<\/p><p>To date, we are unaware of any robust research evidence to support the use of \u2018smart bandages\u2019 as a standard clinically and cost-effective therapeutic intervention but will continue to seek evidence about such potentially beneficial innovations.<\/p>"}

The Board is chaired by the Home Secretary and its purpose is to oversee and drive implementation of the commitments in the 2017 Drug Strategy. The Board has met twice since the Drug Strategy was published, the next meeting will take place in early November.<\/p>"}
