The Church of England Vision for Education identifies four core themes (wisdom, knowledge and skills; hope and aspiration; community and living well together; dignity and respect) which underpin all of our work in education. School leadership networks will be focusing on serious youth violence as part of these core themes. An education which promotes hope, aspiration and dignity is a vital part of addressing serious youth violence.<\/p>
One aspect of this debate relates to the impact of school exclusions on vulnerable young people. However, all pregnant women in custody have an individual care and management plan that is communicated to all staff and all pregnant women are seen by a mid-wife at least fortnightly or as required.<\/p> <\/p> Healthcare in prisons is provided by trained medics and nurses, but we have also made training on dealing with pregnant women available to all prison officers.<\/p> <\/p> We know it is extremely rare for a woman to give birth in prison - because every step is taken to get them to hospital - but those unique cases are invariably down to the unpredictability of labour.<\/p> <\/p> Our Female Offender Strategy made clear that we want fewer women serving short sentences in custody and more remaining in the community, making use of women\u2019s centres to address needs such as substance misuse and mental health problems.<\/p>"}

The response that the Welsh Government submitted was explored in detail between the Department for International Trade (DIT) and Welsh Government officials in December and discussions were held on the response during a quadrilateral that I held with DA ministers in January.<\/p> <\/p> Prior to publication of the summary of responses to DIT\u2019s consultations last week, the DAs received an advance copy.<\/p> <\/p> Alongside these specific discussions, there is extensive ongoing engagement that DIT has with the Welsh Government on trade policy. I have regular contact with my counterpart, the Noble Lady Baroness Morgan of Ely and this is supported by 6-weekly Senior Officials Group and regular technical policy roundtables.<\/p>"}
