We keep anti-social behaviour policy under review through a National Anti-social Behaviour Strategic Board which brings together a range of partners and representatives from key agencies, including the police, local government, and other Government departments, to consider the effectiveness of the powers introduced in the Anti-social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. We also published refreshed statutory guidance for frontline professionals on the use of these powers on 24 December 2017.<\/p>

The Care Quality Commission (CQC) is the independent regulator of health and adult social care providers in England and has a key responsibility in the overall assurance of safety and quality of health and adult social care services. As people live longer than ever before, sometimes with complex care needs, we need to ensure the social care system is sustainable in the longer term. The Government has committed to publishing a Green Paper setting out its proposals for reform and will bring forward ideas for including an element of risk pooling in the system, which will help to protect people from the highest costs. As part of this, the Department will be considering a wide range of available options.<\/p>
This Government is committed to ensuring that everyone has access to the care and support they need, but we are clear that there should continue to be a principle of shared responsibility, and that people should continue to expect to contribute to their care as part of preparing for later life.<\/p>
