The approved projects include a number of projects that were granted planning consent on appeal. Some of the refused projects may be awaiting the outcome of appeals.<\/p>"}

Once these provisions come into force, the Government will not issue a hydraulic fracturing consent unless satisfied that a scheme is in place to provide financial or other benefit for the local area.<\/p> A Sovereign Wealth Fund would ensure that revenues from shale gas and oil are put to good use. Proposals will be brought forward in the next Parliament.<\/p>"}

It is designed for suppliers to meet their obligation in the most cost-effective way in order to limit the costs passed on to consumer energy bills within certain parameters.<\/p> 15% of a suppliers\u2019 activity towards meeting its Community Saving Carbon obligation must be met in rural areas. We\u2019re also making changes to the scheme\u2019s Affordable Warmth obligation up to 2017 so that as much as 30% of the homes helped by energy suppliers under that group will be non-gas fuelled households.<\/p>"}
