The Government has already stated that people should expect to spend on average \u2018up to one third\u2019 of their adult lives in retirement; and that any changes to State Pension age in the future should be fair to current and future generations of pensioners.<\/p>
<\/p>
To inform the first review into State Pension age, the Government commissioned two independent reports which were published in March 2017. I welcome both John Cridland\u2019s report and the Government Actuary\u2019s report as significant contributions to the evidence base.<\/p>
<\/p>
The Secretary of State is giving this issue the full consideration it deserves and will publish his report in due course.<\/p>"}

There is no condition based entitlement to Employment Support Allowance.<\/p>

We are working with medical professionals and other stakeholders to develop functional criteria that will help us identify those with the most severe health conditions or disabilities, for whom repeat work capability assessments can be stopped.<\/p>
<\/p>
Rather than a list of specific medical conditions, the criteria will be based on identifying claimants with the most severe health conditions or disabilities where it would be unreasonable to expect the individual to undertake any form or amount of work or work-related activity. This change will only apply to those placed in the Support Group and UC equivalent.<\/p>"}
