Through these programmes UK Aid supports initiatives to ensure that all low and middle-income countries have introduced one or more new or underused vaccines by 2020.<\/p> In addition, our expert advisory committees are considering how vaccines can be better employed to support the control of AMR in the UK.<\/p> More generally, vaccinations are a key part of the prevention strategy in the NHS Long Term Plan. To help increase immunisation uptake, NHS England will undertake a fundamental review of general practitioner vaccinations and immunisation standards, funding and procurement. This will support the goal of preventing primary and secondary infections.<\/p>"}

The Board met on 20 March and received an update on trial site capacity and commissioner approvals of additional trial places.
