Oral tobacco, or snus, is banned in the United Kingdom under the Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016.<\/p><p>There is limited data on the health risks posed to smokers who switch to snus products. Evidence submitted on snus to the United States Food and Drug Administration states that there are still health risks involved with the use of snus. Although snus products contain significantly lower levels of harmful carcinogens than other smokeless tobacco products, the products contain nitrosamines, including NNN and NNK, which have been demonstrated to cause cancer, including cancers of the mouth. A copy of this evidence, <em>Modified Risk Tobacco Product (MRTP) ApplicationTechnical Project Lead (TPL) Review<\/em>, is attached.<\/p><p><em>Health risks of Scandinavian snus consumption (English summary)<\/em> from Norway shows that tobacco products such as oral tobacco contains carcinogenic substances which are associated with a number of adverse health effects. This is regardless of whether the individual is a smoker or not. A copy of this summary is attached.<\/p>"}

A copy of the guidance is attached. NHS England and NHS Improvement are currently reviewing this guidance, including whether the Annex is consistent with the provision of single sex wards.<\/p>"}

Many community defibrillators have been provided in public locations through national lottery funding, community fundraising schemes, workplace funding or by charities. From May <del class=\"ministerial\">2020,<\/del> <ins class=\"ministerial\">2019,<\/ins> the Government has required all contractors refurbishing or building new schools through centrally delivered programmes, to provide at least one AED.<\/p><p>NHS England and NHS Improvement are procuring a partner to co-ordinate skills development over the next two years which will significantly increase the use of AEDs by individuals in community settings supported by confident cardiopulmonary resuscitation skills.<\/p>"}
