For example, those types of protocols would not be suitable for treatments for epilepsy or treatments requiring biological products where the medicines that are prescribed need to be prescribed by brand for clinical reasons. In these cases, patients would always be referred back to the prescriber for any decision about their treatment before any therapeutic or generic alternative is supplied.<\/p>"}

Open/tube glaucoma procedures are nearly always done with a graft of sclera or tutoplast, which triggers multiple procedures so will receive significantly more under the 2019/20 prices than MIGS procedures, which is appropriate.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>NHS Improvement has carried out an impact assessment which shows that the national tariff changes should not affect patient access to glaucoma treatment.<\/p>"}
