The scheme is run by the MHRA on behalf of the Commission on Human Medicines and it relies on the voluntary reporting of suspected ADRs by health professionals and patients. There is also a legal obligation for pharmaceutical companies to report serious side effects for their products. The scheme collects reports of suspected ADRs from across the whole UK and includes all medicines.<\/p>"}
