Since then we have seen a significant shift in women\u2019s participation in, and experiences of, the workplace.<\/p><p>The Council has successfully influenced government policy on shared parental leave, flexible working and the provision of childcare. Members have raised the profile of issues with business leaders and developed specific programmes and toolkits for the business community.<\/p><p>I would like to pay tribute to the current Chair, Dame Cilla Snowball as she steps down from office next month, for overseeing the success of the Council\u2019s programme.<\/p><p>We will be announcing the new Chair of the Women\u2019s Business Council and its future business programme shortly.<\/p>"}

A £3.5m grant funding competition was also launched for 2018/19 and 2019/20, which included £2m Domestic Abuse funding for female offenders from Home Office.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>Through her involvement with MoJ\u2019s Advisory Board on Female Offenders, Victoria Atkins, Minister for Women, will have extensive engagement on how to support women in the justice system who have been in abusive relationships.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>In addition, the Home Office is funding projects which aim to better support women in the criminal justice system through the Violence Against Women and Girls Transformation fund. This includes a pilot of Sexual Violence Court Advocates and additional services provided to women in custody.<\/p><p> <\/p>"}
