The ONS estimates that in Great Britain 90% of households have an internet connection. Of those without internet access, ONS found \u201c64% felt they didn\u2019t need the internet as it was regarded as not useful or interesting. Responses to the Government consultation revealed a wide range of often conflicting viewpoints from different stakeholders. In addition, many stakeholder responses indicated greater detail on the proposals was necessary.<\/p>

Following the publication of the summary of responses to the consultation in September 2016, the Government has continued to engage with a range of interested parties to further discuss and explore the important issues raised in responses to the consultation and find solutions to the challenges identified. The Construction Skills Certification Scheme is an industry-led initiative which aims to ensure workers on construction sites are qualified to undertake the work they are to perform, and have received safety training.
