It is a criminal offence for anyone other than a registered dentist, or a registered dental practitioner acting under the supervision of a dentist, to offer teeth whitening.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>The General Dental Council or Trading Standards have powers to investigate and refer for prosecution unregistered individuals or businesses offering teeth whitening services.<\/p>"}
