      ], "answer" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/resources/931127/answer", "answerText" : {"_value" : "<p>This government remains clear that one person without a home is one too many and we are committed to preventing and reducing homelessness and rough sleeping.<\/p><p>As well as allocating over £1.2 billion to tackle all forms of homelessness over the spending review period, the government has also taken forward a number of important actions to specifically prevent and reduce the levels of youth homelessness.<\/p><p>The Homelessness Reduction Act, which came into force in April this year, bolsters the support offer for families, care leavers and 16-17 year olds by ensuring that there are more opportunities for local authorities to put in place bespoke interventions to either prevent homelessness from happening in the first place, or relieve them from a homelessness crisis where it does occur.<\/p><p>Alongside legislative changes, we have also published revised guidance to make clear the respective duties of children\u2019s services and housing services to secure or provide accommodation for 16 and 17 year old children who are homeless or in need of accommodation.<\/p><p>In addition, the government\u2019s rough sleeping strategy, which will set out how the government will meet its manifesto commitments of halving rough sleeping by 2022, and ending it by 2027, will include specific action around tackling youth homelessness. The strategy will be published by July this year.<\/p>"}

We are carrying out a comprehensive review of how domestic abuse services are delivered locally across England. To inform our review we have commissioned an audit - being run by Ipsos MORI \u2013 which will give us a complete picture of domestic abuse provision across England, including services for victims with no recourse to public funds. This will enable us to assess what impact services are having and to identify any gaps in provision. Thereafter we will make decisions on the future arrangements for domestic abuse services.<\/p><p>Of the projects funded through the Ministry of Housing Communities and Local Government 2016-18 £20 million fund for domestic abuse services, 14 committed to use funding they received to support victims of domestic abuse with no recourse to public funds. We also fund the \u2018No Women Turned Away Project\u2019 managed by Women\u2019s Aid, which provides support to victims of domestic abuse, including those with no recourse to public funds, who may have been turned away from a refuge.<\/p><p>Government has consulted on what more can be done to protect domestic abuse victims with no recourse to public funds through the Domestic Abuse Bill, which closed on 31 May. We are currently analysing the 3,200 plus responses received and will carefully consider what future courses of action are necessary.<\/p>"}
