This guideline makes it clear that the domestic setting can be considered as an aggravating factor for sentencing.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>In March, the Sentencing Council launched a consultation on revised guidelines for domestic abuse and intimidatory offences which ran until 30 June. Further information can be found on the Council\u2019s website: <a href=\"http://www.sentencingcouncil.org.uk/\" target=\"_blank\">www.sentencingcouncil.org.uk<\/a><\/p><p> <\/p><p>The Domestic Abuse Bill, announced in the Queen\u2019s Speech, will also contain provisions to protect the victims of domestic violence and abuse.<\/p>"}
