During his visit, he met representatives of the Government of Yemen as well as officials from countries participating in the military coalition. The situation in Yemen remains critical and risks becoming a prolonged conflict with catastrophic humanitarian consequences. We remain fully committed to a finding a political solution to the crisis and continue to urge the parties to the conflict to return to negotiations, and to facilitate access for humanitarian aid and commercial goods. To tackle the humanitarian crisis, the UK has so far announced £75 million \u2013 through UN agencies and humanitarian NGOs - to support Yemenis affected by the crisis, including those forced to flee their homes, with emergency shelter, healthcare, water and food assistance, as well as supporting UN work to co-ordinate the humanitarian response."}
