A smart meter will normally be installed in the same location as the traditional meter it is replacing. The responsibility to move and pay for any relocation depends on the situation and could fall to the energy supplier, network operator or property owner.<\/p>
<\/p>
There are some circumstances where the meter should be moved for free \u2013 for example if a customer is on the Priority Services Register and has difficulty accessing the meter.<\/p>
