The aim is to take as many of these as possible through to commercial scale production.<\/p><p> <\/p><p>Timelines differ between projects, but the funding is being used for feasibility studies; pre-front engineering and design; front end engineering and design; and parts of engineering, procurement and construction. The Department for Transport cannot comment on the progress of individual projects due to commercial sensitivity. The Department is working closely with the Home Office, Police, CAA and all UK airports to ensure that appropriate lessons are learnt from this incident, and appropriate mitigations put in place to reinforce their protection.
