I have asked IPSA to reply.<\/p>
As the system is new, IPSA continue to work closely with MPs and their staff to help them understand how IPSA Online works, and how to realise the full benefits. We are continuing to hold group and one-to-one training in Parliament and have staff available on the phone to answer queries. IPSA are conducting a survey to gather more feedback about the new system, with plans for further improvements in due course. IPSA will report to the Speaker\u2019s Committee for the IPSA later in the year on the overall costs and benefits of IPSA Online.<\/p>
During the development of the new system, IPSA Online, IPSA carried out usability testing to look at how long a range of tasks and functions would take, compared with the old claims system. Based on this testing, IPSA found that improvements in the new system would take MPs and their staff about 30 per cent less time, due to the simplification of processes and forms. Feedback collected at training sessions also indicated that MPs\u2019 staff expected IPSA Online to be easier and quicker to use than the old system.<\/p>
MPs and their staff members will also benefit from the following time-saving changes:<\/p>
- \u2018Single sign-on\u2019 capability enables MPs and their staff to access IPSA Online directly through their secure parliamentary account without an additional logon.<\/p>
- The new system allows claims from different budgets to be submitted on the same form, rather than having to submit multiple forms.<\/p>
- Because MPs and staff no longer need to send paper receipts and invoices to IPSA, but can scan or photograph them and upload them digitally onto the system, we can process and reimburse claims more quickly.<\/p>
- Staff members can now be reimbursed directly by IPSA for their own expenses, so that MPs no longer need to wait to pay staff once they themselves have been reimbursed.<\/p>
- Additional information is available to them directly, for example on the amounts left in budgets and the status of any repayments or amounts owed, so MPs and their staff no longer need to wait for a monthly financial statement or contact IPSA staff to ask about these issues.<\/p>

The Crown Prosecution Service is working with the police, government departments and third sector stakeholders on the Government\u2019s review into how the criminal justice system responds to rape and serious sexual offences. The Crown Prosecution Service is committed to working with all involved in the Review, including stakeholders, to identify and address any issues that are identified.<\/p>
Complainants are entitled to protection from unnecessary and unjustified invasion of their private lives. CPS guidance is clear that where it is a reasonable line of enquiry in the investigation, the police should obtain complainants\u2019 informed consent to gain access to medical records and counselling notes. Information about incidents of self-harm up to December 2018 can be found by selecting table 2.13<\/strong> in the \u2018Self-harm in prison custody 2000 to 2018\u2019 link. The table is set out by prison and year, and monthly breakdowns can be found by using the \u2018+\u2019 and \u2018-\u2018 functions at the top of the table.<\/p> <\/p> We are taking steps to reduce self-harm and self-inflicted death levels by rolling out improved suicide and self-harm training for new and existing staff. Over 25,000 staff have received some training and over 14,000 have received training in all six modules.<\/p> <\/p> Violence in prisons remains unacceptably high but there are early signs that we are making progress. Eight of the jails involved in the \u201810 Prisons Project\u2019 saw falls in the final quarter of 2018 \u2013 four of them by more than 25% - while the number of assaults across the estate reduced by 11%.<\/p> <\/p> Across the prison estate we have invested an additional £70m in a raft of measures designed to improve safety, security and decency \u2013 including body-scanners, enhanced searches and new investigative teams \u2013 while the 4,700 additional staff we have recruited since October 2016 are making a real difference.<\/p>"}
