The UK Border Agency was absorbed into the Home Office on 1 April 2013; its

The number of drivers that opted for a National Driver Offender Retraining
Scheme (NDORS) speed awareness course rather than accept penalty points on
their driving licence in 2010 is 447,833, in 2011 is 772,180, 2012 is 926,155 and in
2013 is 953,464. These reflect the latest updated figures.
The offer of a speed awareness course is at the discretion of the police. To be
deemed eligible there must be no excessive speed or other offences committed at
the same time. Information on previous motoring convictions is not taken into
account.
The Department for Transport and the police are in advanced stages of
commissioning a long term study to assess the effectiveness of speed awareness

Child abuse is a horrific crime and the Government is determined to tackle
it. We have made real progress through our work with the internet industry.
Following this work, internet search engines have made changes to
their search mechanisms, and these new measures have been effective in making
it harder to access child abuse images. For example, Google has implemented
changes that prevent child abuse results against 100,000 unique searches
worldwide. National Crime Agency testing of these new measures shows that they
have been effective in making it harder to access child abuse images, videos or
pathways. This is now a constantly evolving approach that tracks the latest
terms being used by paedophiles and cuts off access to child abuse material.<\/p>

There has been a scheme since 2004 whereby a proportion of the proceeds of
crime recovered from drug dealers and other criminals are returned to law
enforcement agencies. The money returned to law enforcement has been used to
support a continued increase in the amounts recovered from criminals and can be
invested in community projects.<\/p>
