All asylum seekers are entitled to legal representation to support them, including with translation, through legal aid. Advice on obtaining a legal representative can be found on <a href=\"https://www.gov.uk/find-an-immigration-adviser\" target=\"_blank\">Find an immigration adviser: Search for an adviser - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)<\/a>.       ], "answer" : {"_about" : "http://data.parliament.uk/resources/1438330/answer", "answerText" : {"_value" : "<p><em>The UK has a long history of supporting refugees in need of protection. <\/em><em>The UK continues to welcome vulnerable people through the existing global UK Resettlement Scheme, Mandate Resettlement Scheme, Community Sponsorship Scheme and Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme.<\/em><\/p><p><em>Since 2015, we have resettled more than 27,000 refugees through safe and legal routes direct from regions of conflict and instability; around half of whom were children.<\/em><\/p><p><em>In response to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, the Home Office made several changes to the immigration system, including launching the Ukraine Family Scheme.<\/em><\/p><p><em>In addition, we are e<\/em><em>stablishing a humanitarian sponsorship pathway,<\/em> <em>led by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, whereby Ukrainians who may not have family ties in the UK can be sponsored to come to the UK by willing and able individuals, businesses, or community organisations. There will be no numerical limit on this scheme, and we will welcome as many Ukrainians as wish to come and have matched sponsors.<\/em><\/p><p><em>Resettlement is only one strand of our international efforts helping refugees. It is complemented by the UK\u2019s significant humanitarian aid programme and diplomatic efforts.
