The Government published the UK\u2019s first ever Bioeconomy Strategy in December 2018. Developed with industry, and trailed in the Clean Growth Strategy, it identifies biomanufacturing and biorefineries as a key route to developing less carbon intensive products for the UK, from energy and fuels to bio-based chemicals, plastics and other materials.
