For the Ashfield constituency, this is the NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB.</p><p>The Government plans to tackle the challenges patients face when trying to access National Health Service dental care with a rescue plan to provide 700,000 more urgent dental appointments, and to recruit new dentists to the areas that need them most. To rebuild dentistry in the long term and increase access to NHS dental care, we will reform the dental contract, with a shift to focus on prevention and the retention of NHS dentists. As was the case with previous administrations, it is not the Government's practice to provide details of all such meetings.</p><p> </p><p>Joint working between law enforcement agencies is an operational matter and cannot be commented upon in detail. The National Crime Agency continues to work with all law enforcement partners to tackle the shared threat posed by illegal firearms, and stands ready to support those partners when required. The Regional Organised Crime Units provide specialist capabilities to police forces to efficiently and effectively tackle the threat from serious and organised crime, including that from the criminal use of firearms.</p><p>The Home Secretary has received the letter of 29 June from the Honourable Member for Garston and Halewood and a response will be sent very shortly with a package of support for Merseyside Police to consider. Child claimants are not required to be assessed by an independent health professional. Currently over 95% of claims, excepting those fast tracked under the special rules for people with a terminal illness, are currently being cleared within 40 days</p><p> </p><p>Over the course of 2014 and 2015 the Department and the independent assessment providers have taken measures to improve waiting times for Personal Independence Payment (PIP) assessments, for example: quadrupling the number of health professionals; increasing the number of paper-based assessment; opening more assessment centres; and improving processes and delivery mechanisms and claimant communications. As a result of these improvements, the average time taken for a claimant to be assessed by an assessment provider has fallen by more than three quarters since June 2014.
