<p>The Home Office has designed the Asylum Accommodation and Support Transformation
project to replace the current asylum accommodation and support services to ensure
a smooth transition of services from one Provider to another. The transition governance
structure has allowed the Home Office and its Providers to work closely with local
authorities and other statutory partners to oversee regional plans and monitor and
manage emerging risks and issues including ensuring effective contingency measures
are in place to minimise impacts to all Service Users.</p><p>In the North East Yorkshire
Humber region, Mears continue in commercial discussion with their potential supply
chain, sub-contractors and landlords to ensure there is suitable and sufficient accommodation
available to ensure a smooth transition of services before the current COMPASS contracts
end in September 2019. Information regarding emerging risks and contingency plans
will continue to be shared through the transition governance structures as those discussions
conclude.</p>
