Although there is no statutory time limit on immigration detention under Immigration Act powers, the law does not allow indefinite detention.</p><p>Under the adults at risk in immigration detention policy – which is part of the Government’s response to Stephen Shaw’s review of the welfare of vulnerable people in immigration detention - the consideration of any vulnerability, including mental health, is based on a case-by-case assessment of the appropriateness of detention for each individual. All individuals detained also have ready access to medical professionals and health care, including mental health services. In all cases, detention is kept under regular review to ensure that it is necessary, appropriate and takes into account the welfare of those detained.</p><p>The Home Office has published guidelines on acceptable room capacity in immigration removal centres, which build on requirements set out in secondary legislation. The strategy sets out the key risk factors which may mean a young person may have a greater propensity to get involved in crime than would otherwise be the case such as school absence and peer pressure.</p><p>The strategy also outlines the importance of early intervention to tackle criminal involvement by young people and the importance of providing positive activities to help them lead productive lives free from crime. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/11/2017 answer text <p>The independent regulator, the Office of Rail and Road (ORR), will determine the funding that Network Rail requires to deliver efficiently the outputs the Government set out in its High Level Output Specification (HLOS) for Control Period 6 (2019 – 2024) in July 2017 (https://www.parliament.uk/business/publications/written-questions-answers-statements/written-statement/Commons/2017-07-20/HCWS86/). ORR will scrutinise Network Rail’s proposed Strategic Business Plans for Control Period 6 in early 2018 and will consult stakeholders on its draft determination on Network Rail’s outputs and funding for Control Period 6 in June 2018. ORR will publish its final determination in October 2018.</p><p> </p><p>The HLOS was focused on operations, maintenance and renewals outputs. The Government is developing a new process for the funding and delivery of enhancements.
