It is fundamental that humanitarian workers who are risking their lives to deliver badly needed aid across Syria can operate in safety. The UN inquiry is wholly independent. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/11/2016 answer text <p>​Since we were made aware of the arrests of Mrs Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe and Mr Kamal Foroughi, Ministers and officials have raised their cases repeatedly, at all levels, with the Iranian Government. Most recently, The Prime Minister, my Rt Hon. Friend the Member for Maidenhead (Mrs May) and the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, my Rt Hon. Friend the Member for Uxbridge and South Ruislip (Mr Johnson) raised these cases with their Iranian counterparts during the UN General Assembly in September. The Prime Minister followed up her concerns in writing to President Rouhani on 3 October.
