unstar this property answer text <p>The operation of hand car washes covers a wide range of factors, including health and safety, environmental issues, payment of national minimum wage and other worker and employment protections, which cut across a number of Government Departments. At a local level, agencies, including the Gangmasters and Labour Abuse Authority, local authorities, Immigration Enforcement and the police work in partnership to take action against labour exploitation and modern slavery.</p><p>The Director of Labour Market Enforcement will be looking at the issue of enforcement in sectors that have been identified as high risk for labour exploitation and modern slavery in his forthcoming annual labour market enforcement strategy.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>The National Congenital Heart Disease Audit run by the National Institute for Cardiovascular Outcomes Research (NICOR) began collecting data in 2000-01 and at that stage the 2000-01 data was based on paediatric cases only. There are no reliable data from before that period.</p><p> </p><p>In 2000-01 there were 4,105 paediatric surgical procedures and 227 deaths had occurred by 30 days after surgery.</p><p> </p><p>NICOR have provided the following breakdown of 2013-16 procedures which is due to be published in full later this month.</p><p> </p><p>In 2013-16 there were 32,033 procedures and 663 deaths had occurred at 30 days.</p><p> </p><p>Of these, 22,930 were paediatric procedures and of that total 570 deaths had occurred at 30 days.</p><p> </p><p>The Audit reports on three years’ figures due to the relatively small number of cases involved with a large number of different procedures, and in order to minimise the risk of identifying individuals.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>Non-emergency patient transport services (PTS) are available for patients that meet certain criteria, including but not limited to those who are aged over 65 and satisfy one or more of the criteria outlined in the document Eligibility Criteria for Patient Transport Services.</p><p> </p><p>A patient’s eligibility for PTS should be determined either by a healthcare professional or by non-clinically qualified staff who are both clinically supervised and/or working within locally agreed protocols or guidelines, and employed by the National Health Service or working under contract for the NHS.</p> more like this

unstar this property answer text <p>The UK Five Year Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) strategy, 2013-2018, published in September 2013, had no associated funding to support implementation. All activity has been supported from within existing business plans of the organisations committed to tackling AMR.</p><p> </p><p>A record of what is spent directly on tackling AMR is not centrally maintained but examples of funded initiatives include NHS England’s use of Quality Premium and Commissioning for Quality and Innovation programmes to drive down inappropriate prescribing and a range of AMR research investments and awareness raising initiatives.</p> more like this
