star this property answer text <p>The Government remains concerned by the humanitarian emergency in Venezuela and the consequent migration of millions of Venezuelan people. Minister for the Commonwealth and UN, Lord Ahmad of Wimbledon, discussed this issue with the Trinidad and Tobago Minister of National Security in January 2019. Our High Commissioner has also raised on several occasions the need for a process to register incoming Venezuelans with the Government of Trinidad and Tobago. The Trinidad and Tobago government announced in April 2019 that it will review its migration policy and legislation and produce an amnesty plan.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The British Government welcomed the report of the Rakhine Advisory Commission and its recommendations. We note that the civilian government in Myanmar has accepted the recommendations contained within the report and we continue to push for full implementation. We recognise that the government has started work on responding to some of the recommendations, but there is still significant progress that needs to be made. We continue to offer assistance to the Myanmar Government to address the long term issues in Rakhine and deliver for all communities.</p> more like this
