	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 03/11/2014 answer text <p>The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has had two private finance initiative (PFI) contracts between 1997 and 2010 as follows.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><strong><em>Information Technology (IT) managed service</em></strong></p><p> </p><p>The Department's IT service is provided through a PFI managed service contract with CGI (formally Logica) which was let from 1 April 2002. The contract currently runs until 30 November 2015 and provides for further extension options until 31 March 2017.</p><p> </p><p><strong><em> </em></strong></p><p> </p><p><strong><em>Communications managed service</em></strong></p><p> </p><p>The Department's communications are provided through a managed service PFI contract with Level 3. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 02/12/2014 answer text <p>In line with the requirements of the Greening Government Commitment Targets, the Law Officers’ Departments are taking steps to reduce water consumption and costs. Reductions have been achieved through a range of measures including the introduction of water meters and water flow restrictors to reduce usage in washrooms. Reductions in the size of the estate and in staff numbers have also contributed to the decline in water consumption.</p><p>Against the 2009/10 benchmark of 69,068 cubic metres, consumption was reduced by 40% to 41,164 cubic metres by the end of reporting year 2012/13. Projections for reporting year 2013/14 indicate further improvement.</p><p> </p><p>Specific information on the Law Officers’ Departments consumption of water and any associated expenditure during the last financial year is published in their respective Annual Report and Resource Accounts. These also detail actions undertaken to reduce usage. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/12/2014 answer text <p>The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) commissioned Sustainability Surveys in respect of its major energy consuming sites in 2011. The surveys considered: photovoltaics, solar water heating, wind turbines, biomass boilers, ground source heating, micro-hydro and combined heat and power. Apart from photovoltaics and solar water heating none of the technologies was considered suitable for further investigation.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>In the case of the sites where photovoltaics and solar water heating were considered technically achievable the economic investment and payback period was not considered viable.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The CPS also responded to a central government request for sites potentially suitable for solar panels in 2014 and no sites were considered viable.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The remaining Law Officers Departments have not made any such assessments. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/12/2014 answer text <p>Over the last 12 months a total of twenty-five permanent staff over the age of 65 have worked in the Attorney General’s Office, Treasury Solicitor’s Office and HM Crown Prosecution Service Inspectorate.</p><p>In December 2013 and January 2014 the Serious Fraud Office (SFO) had 4 permanent members of staff who worked after their 65 birthday. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/12/2014 answer text <p>Progress against the delivery of my department's Digital Strategy, which sets out plans to become ‘digital by default’ in line with the Government Digital Strategy, is due to be published in December.</p><p>One of the 25 'exemplar' major government service that are being redesigned and rebuilt to be simpler, clearer and faster to use was the Cabinet Office's Register to Vote service. This went live in June this year in England and Wales followed by Scotland in September. More than 2.2m people have registered to vote using this digital service, with an overall satisfaction rate of over 90%.
