<p>Work continues to meet the commitment for national coverage of basic shared records by September 2021. Over half of National Health Service trusts and general practices in the country are already connected to some form of shared care record with plans for the remainder to be connected by September 2021 with funding and other support from NHSX. The timing of support for ophthalmology services will vary according to local clinical priorities and existing systems.</p>
