<p>548 horses were slaughtered in 2022, and 721 horses were slaughtered in 2023. Tables showing the number of horses slaughtered in abattoirs in 2022 and 2023 by passport issuing agency and age are attached, due to the size of the data. The information requested on the number of equines registered as being in training when slaughtered is not held.</p>
