star this property answer text <p>The information requested is not held centrally by the Home Office.</p><p>The Home Office collects data on the number of arrests by each police force in England and Wales at offence group level (e.g. violence against the person, sexual offences etc.). This can be broken down by sex of the arrestee. However, the data cannot be broken down to identify the specific legislation (such as the Criminal Justice and Courts Act 2015) under which each arrest was made.</p><p>The Home Office receives data from police forces in England and Wales which show offences recorded by the police that resulted in one or more people being charged or summonsed. It is not possible to determine either the number of people charged for each offence or what section of an act someone was charged under.</p><p>The Ministry of Justice Court Proceedings Database holds information on defendants proceeded against, found guilty and sentenced for criminal offences in England and Wales.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Forensic analysis of evidence is undertaken both in police laboratories and by a number of private sector laboratories. Contractual arrangements or service level agreements between each police force and their forensic service provider and the length of time it takes for forensic evidence to be analysed, are operational matters for the Chief Constable of that force.</p><p>As such, the Home Office will not be monitoring the average time it takes for the police to receive the results of requests to have evidence forensically analysed.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Expenditure on Overseas Development Aid from 2015 to 2017 is as follows:</p><p>• 2015 £222m<br>• 2016 £376m<br>• 2017 £354m</p><p>The Home Office’s ODA spend is focused on the following three areas, which contribute to the delivery of the UK’s Aid Strategy:</p><p>• Support to asylum seekers and the resettlement of vulnerable people in the UK. This helps pay for food, shelter and training for up to 12 months. <br>• Work upstream in ODA countries to build capacity and capability to improve security, protect the vulnerable and tackle modern slavery. <br>• CSSF-funded activity to tackle organised immigration crime through the Organised Immigration Crime Taskforce, and to save lives at sea through the deployment of Border Force vessels in the Mediterranean.</p> more like this
