	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/09/2019 answer text <p>We have been clear that the rights of EU nationals with settled and pre-settled status who apply for social security benefits after 31 October 2019 will be protected.</p><p>DWP recognises leave granted under the EU settlement scheme. EU nationals who claim social security benefits can present their notification of settled or pre-settled status in support of their claim. DWP procedures require staff to verify evidence of immigration status through the Habitual Residence Test Process. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 26/07/2019 answer text <p>The Government is deeply concerned by Iran’s destabilising involvement in regional conflicts, including in Syria and Yemen, through the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and IRGC Qods Force, and by reported financial and military support to militant and proscribed groups, such as Hizballah and the Houthis in Yemen. I raised these concerns directly during my visit to Iran in June 2019. We also condemn the IRGC’s involvement in recent attacks on shipping, including the attacks on tankers in the Gulf of Oman (for which the IRGC was almost certainly responsible) and the seizure of the UK-flagged vessel Stena Impero. The IRGC as a whole remains subject to EU and US sanctions; a large number of associated individuals and entities are also designated. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/07/2019 answer text <p>The Scottish Whisky industry is recognised the world over for its high quality and, according to VisitBritain, whisky is the top food and drink item associated with the UK in France, Germany, China and Japan.</p><p> </p><p>A recent survey by the Scotch Whisky Association, suggests that 2018 saw a record of more than 2m visitors to distilleries, an increase of more than 50% since 2010. This survey also shows that in 2018 visitor spending increased by more than 12% on 2017’s figures to over £68m.</p><p> </p><p>VisitBritain(VB) work to promote the UK as a tourist destination, and have used Scotch whisky to promote Scotland in particular. VB regularly host educational trips which include distilleries across Scotland, host several distilleries at their flagship promotional event ExploreGB and offer Whisky tours through the VB online shop. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/07/2019 answer text <p>Scotch Whisky continues to be a major contributor towards the UK’s overall exports, representing 21.4% of total exports of UK food and drink.</p><p> </p><p>Ministers and officials from this department hold regular discussions with the Scotch Whisky Association and other representatives from the industry with the aim of further increasing whisky exports and to help them to take advantage of a wide range of overseas opportunities. The Department is working to address tariff and non-tariff barriers facing the sector through our planned future trade agreements and other dialogues with partner countries.
