answer text <p>The spend on the Get In Go Far campaign was agreed with the Minister for the Cabinet Office through the Efficiency Reform Group in 2014 following a direct commission from the Prime Minister. The campaign is aimed at young people aged 14-24, parents of 14-24s, and teachers to establish apprenticeships as the norm alongside A levels and university. The campaign began on 20 August 2014. answer text <p /> <p>The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) uses a variety of free and paid for channels to effectively communicate important reforms and how people are affected.</p><p> </p><p>The channels used are considered the most effective route to reach key audiences, whilst offering value for money. All advertising spend is scrutinised and agreed through the Cabinet Office.</p><p> </p><p>DWP launched an information campaign to help people understand what the State Pension changes mean for them. The multi-channel advertising campaign ‘Your Future, Your Pension’ is part of the Government’s drive to explain the State Pension reforms to both current and future pensioners.</p><p> </p><p>The advertising directs people to the information they need on GOV.UK and encourages relevant groups to request a statement through the Statement Service.</p><p> </p><p>No money was spent on promoting the phrase ‘Your Future, Your Pension’. The money spent on the marketing campaign that includes the phrase ‘your State Pension, your future’ is as follows:</p><p>Direct Mail – £6,177</p><p>Magazine advertorials – £61,982</p><p> </p><p>There is no specific budget for the use of either phrase within the campaign.</p><p> </p>

answer text <p>The development of all children’s speech, language and communication during their early years is a priority for government. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets the prime areas of learning that early years providers must follow and this includes a focus on communication and language. The EYFS requires providers to have arrangements in place to support children with special educational needs or disabilities. In England the Early Years Educator Criteria and the Teachers’ Standards (Early Years) also require the staff in question to deliver the EYFS.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Teachers’ Standards (Early Years) requires early years teachers to demonstrate a clear understanding of the needs of all children, including those with speech, language and communication or other special educational needs or disabilities. It requires teachers to be able to use and evaluate distinctive approaches to engage and support children and to have the skills and awareness to know when a child is in need of additional support. The Department for Education provides grants to a number of expert organisations so that they can support the early years workforce to meet the needs of children with speech, language and communication difficulties. This includes providing access to best practice, tools and training. A range of organisations and bodies also provide advice and support to their members on this issue.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Where Ofsted inspectors have identified areas of improvement it is the responsibility of the early years setting to put an improvement plan in place. Local authorities are required by legislation to secure information, advice and training for early years providers judged less than good on their last Ofsted inspection report, including to help the provider meet the needs of children with special educational needs and disabilities.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Under section 22 of the Children and Families Act 2014 local authorities in England are required to identify all the children and young people in their area (i) who have or may have special educational needs, and (ii) who have a disability. Section 23 places a duty on clinical commissioning groups, NHS trusts or NHS foundation trusts if they are of the opinion that a child under compulsory school age has (or probably has) special educational needs or a disability, to tell the local authority and child’s parents.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Local authorities in England must ensure that all providers they fund are aware of the requirement on them to have regard to the special educational needs and disability - code of practice and to meet the needs of children with special educational needs or disabilities.</p><p><em><br> </em></p>

answer text <p>The development of all children’s speech, language and communication during their early years is a priority for government. The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) sets the prime areas of learning that early years providers must follow and this includes a focus on communication and language. The EYFS requires providers to have arrangements in place to support children with special educational needs or disabilities. In England the Early Years Educator Criteria and the Teachers’ Standards (Early Years) also require the staff in question to deliver the EYFS.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The Teachers’ Standards (Early Years) requires early years teachers to demonstrate a clear understanding of the needs of all children, including those with speech, language and communication or other special educational needs or disabilities. It requires teachers to be able to use and evaluate distinctive approaches to engage and support children and to have the skills and awareness to know when a child is in need of additional support. The Department for Education provides grants to a number of expert organisations so that they can support the early years workforce to meet the needs of children with speech, language and communication difficulties. This includes providing access to best practice, tools and training. A range of organisations and bodies also provide advice and support to their members on this issue.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Where Ofsted inspectors have identified areas of improvement it is the responsibility of the early years setting to put an improvement plan in place. Local authorities are required by legislation to secure information, advice and training for early years providers judged less than good on their last Ofsted inspection report, including to help the provider meet the needs of children with special educational needs and disabilities.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>Under section 22 of the Children and Families Act 2014 local authorities in England are required to identify all the children and young people in their area (i) who have or may have special educational needs, and (ii) who have a disability. There had been some performance issues with the online interface that enables farmers to input data directly, but the core of the new Rural Payments system is working well. Over 80,000 farmers and agents have registered on the Rural Payments system, and farmers cannot be paid without registering on the new system.</p><p>Defra and the Rural Payments Agency have received a number of reports from the Major Projects Authority about progress with the Rural Payments IT System. answer text <p>The National Food Crime Unit (NFCU) is initially focusing on establishing the scale and nature of food crime in the United Kingdom at a strategic level through developing intelligence sharing relationships across the law enforcement community and with the food industry. This will also enable the Unit to instigate investigative interventions by law enforcement partners and local authorities to identify and disrupt specific instances of food crime.</p><p> </p><p>At the end of this year, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) will review progress on food crime, in line with Professor Elliott’s recommendations following the horsemeat incident. This review will inform decision-making about the Unit’s future form and function including the need or otherwise for the unit to establish an in-house investigative capability.</p><p> </p><p>Intelligence analysts within the Unit have just completed the first ever Food Crime Annual Strategic Assessment (FCASA). The FCASA sets out the Unit’s developing understanding of food crime and will drive its work to ensure resources are focused where the threat to consumers and other interests is the greatest.</p><p> </p><p>The NFCU receives reports of suspicions of food fraud from a number of sources via many different routes. The FSA website directs users to a dedicated email address and telephone number for reporting these suspicions. Information is also received through local authority and law enforcement partners. Information received is analysed and, where appropriate, entered onto the Unit's intelligence database. Between 1 January 2015 and 18 March 2016, 793 such records were created.</p><p> </p><p>Establishment costs for the NFCU were minimal as the Unit initially evolved from a small but similar capability within the FSA. Total running costs to date are in the region of £579,000. Estimated costs for the forthcoming year are £1.2 million, subject to final allocations being agreed.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
