star this property answer text <p>The Home Office has no plans to establish a Royal Commission into police funding. Such a Commission would be a substantial undertaking requiring significant time and resource.</p><p>Instead, the Government is on the front foot in engaging with the police and we recognise the changing demands they are facing. The department supports forces to achieve their vision for policing through funding and work to improve forces' capabilities under five main strands: local policing; specialist capabilities; workforce; digital policing; and business enablers.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>My right hon. and noble Friend the former Minister of State, Baroness Warsi, raised Anwar Ibrahim’s case with senior members of the Malaysian government during her visit to Malaysia in April this year. Our High Commission in Malaysia has also discussed the matter with Malaysian ministers and officials on a number of occasions in recent months and is closely monitoring Anwar’s appeal against his conviction, including by attending court hearings alongside other diplomatic missions.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>People with Parkinson’s and other progressive conditions receive general financial provision towards costs, including heating, through Attendance Allowance, Disability Living Allowance (DLA) or Personal Independence Payment (PIP).</p><p> </p><p>Additional help is available to those entitled to income-related benefits - such as Employment and Support Allowance - through the support component and additional disability premiums.</p><p> </p><p>Help is also available through Cold Weather Payments, and this winter, over 2 million low income households will receive a bill rebate through the Warm Home Discount Scheme.</p><p> </p><p>Winter Fuel Payments also provide assurance to older people, who may suffer the worst impacts of a progressive condition, so that they can keep warm during the winter months.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Common Security and Defence Policy Service (CSDP) Medal is an international military decoration awarded to individuals who have served with CSDP missions. The Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine is a separate mission outside the scope of the CSDP. UK citizens who serve in OSCE missions are not therefore eligible for CSDP medals. We fully support our secondees to OSCE with a package of benefits and remuneration for their work, and we continue to consider other ways to recognise our secondees’ service to this important Mission.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Service Justice Board concerns itself with ensuring that the Service Justice System provides a fair system of justice for those who are alleged to have breached Service Law, and that the system is also able to support the Chain of Command in delivering operational effectiveness; the Service Complaints Ombudsman is not a member.</p><p> </p><p>The Service Complaints Ombudsman is provided with an annual budget from defence funds which, under the financial delegation given to her, is used to meet all the costs associated with her independent function; this includes the procurement of any legal advice. The amount spent by the Ombudsman’s office on legal advice varies year on year, and is detailed in the financial expenditure statements in her annual reports to Parliament on the fairness, effectiveness and efficiency of the Service Complaints system. These reports – and those submitted by the Service Complaints Commissioner, can be found at the following address:</p><p> </p><p>http://www.servicecomplaintsombudsman.org.uk/service-complaints-ombudsman/publications-and-reports/annual-reports/.</p><p> </p><p>The Annual Report for 2018 will be available in the first quarter of 2019.</p><p> </p><p>It will take time to collate the detailed information requested on investigation officers and I will write to the hon.
