The survey was launched on 2 March 2018 with a blog that was viewed by 2,814 people and re-blogged into around 250 Reservist pages across the three Services. The survey was available continuously over an 8-week period, with Defence Connect and Defence Gateway viewed around 1,879,000 and 871,000 times respectively during that time.

The survey was undertaken by a consortium of university researchers and disseminated by the Army on behalf of all three Services. The MOD has been advised that there were around 400 responses to the survey.
