Every region in the UK has a role to play in boosting the national economy.

As we leave the European Union and negotiate new trade deals we plan to build on our strong record of city, growth and devolution deals to ensure people and businesses in all regions of the UK can access markets and bring in the returns. To help make this a reality the government published a new vision for exports support in the Export Strategy recently. It sets a national ambition to transform our export performance and spread opportunities across all regions. We will achieve this by working with industry and partners in devolved and local governments.
more like this

Fuel pricing is subject to UK competition law under the Competition and Markets Authority. Its predecessor, the Office of Fair Trading last looked at fuel prices in 2013. I expect the retail fuel market to be kept under review.
more like this

answer text
We estimate that around 1.2m homes will be treated under the current Energy Company Obligation between autumn 2018 and March 2022 on the basis of the lifetime bill saving targets that obligated energy suppliers have been set. This is set out on page 27 of the final impact assessment which can be found at: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/energy-company-obligation-eco3-2018-to-2022?6543. Being a statutory obligation on energy suppliers to meet their targets, we have a high degree of confidence that the lifetime bill savings delivered through installing measures into homes will be met in full. Suppliers have flexibility as to how they phase delivery over the obligation period.
more like this
