These orders, and several other elements of the Criminal Finances Act 2017, relate to devolved matters. The Security Minister gave a commitment to Parliament not to commence any CFA provisions affecting devolved matters until legislative consent is secured. The regulation of activities in Lough Foyle is the responsibility of the Loughs Agency, a cross-border body established under the Belfast Agreement of 1998.</p><p> </p><p>We remain fully committed to these arrangements and continue to work closely with the Irish Government over improvements to the management of the Loughs. We will therefore not commence provisions on matters devolved to Northern Ireland without the appropriate consents having been obtained.
