	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/06/2017 answer text <p>The burden of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions is likely to rise significantly due to an ageing population and a combination of obesity and physical inactivity. Individual clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) and local authorities (LAs) are responsible for the delivery of services to treat and support the prevention of MSK disorders from their respective resources allocation. Where appropriate, some local services may be designed and delivered in partnership between CCGs and LAs.</p><p>Whilst not all MSK conditions are preventable, physical activity can play an important part in reducing risk of developing certain MSK disorders and managing MSK symptoms. Regular physical activity that meets national guidelines on frequency and intensity can reduce an individual’s risk of developing joint and back pain by 25% and can improve symptoms for people with MSK conditions.</p><p>The Department works with Public Health England (PHE), NHS England and local authorities to promote physical activity. The ‘Providing physical activity interventions for people with musculoskeletal conditions’ report, published in March 2017 is the result of collaboration between Arthritis Research UK, PHE, NHS England and the Department. The report reviews the benefits of physical activity both for people with MSK conditions and wider society and provides a framework that supports a tiered approach to intervention. That is why we commissioned the Accelerated Access Review, which reported in October last year. We are considering the review’s recommendations and will respond in due course.</p><p> </p><p>As part of the exit negotiations the Government will discuss with the European Union and Member States how best to continue cooperation on medicine research and development and regulation in the best interests of both the United Kingdom and the EU. The UK Government's future partnership paper sets out the UK’s position on enforcement and reviews examples of mechanisms for resolving disputes in international agreements. It states that as part of the deep and special partnership we seek with the EU, it is in the interests of both the UK and the EU that: the rights and obligations agreed between us can be relied upon and enforced by individuals and businesses; and where disputes arise between the UK and the EU on the application or interpretation of these obligations, those disputes can be resolved efficiently and effectively.</p><p> </p><p>The Government's top priority for life sciences during the negotiations is to protect the safety of patients and ensure the integrity of cross-European public health systems. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/12/2017 answer text <p>Psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis are part of group of musculoskeletal conditions referred to collectively as spondyloarthritis. This term also refers to conditions including: reactive arthritis; enteropathic arthritis; and undifferentiated spondyloarthritis. The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence advises that spondyloarthritis has a reported prevalence in Western Europe of between 0.8% in 1.7%.</p><p> </p><p>Improving Lives - the Work, Health and Disability Green Paper, published on 31 October 2016, set out the Government’s commitment to work with NHS England to identify opportunities for regular collection of data about incidence, prevalence, clinical activity and outcomes of musculoskeletal conditions and services in England. The Government’s Mandate to NHS England reiterated this commitment. On 30 November 2017 the Government published Improving Lives - The Future of Work, Health and Disability in response to the Green Paper. In building on the commitment in the Green Paper to identify opportunities for routine data collection about musculoskeletal incidence, prevalence, clinical activity, and outcomes, the report set out that a data advisory group, led by Arthritis Research UK, has been examining the issue. On 1 December 2017 the advisory group presented its recommendations to NHS England, which is currently considering the appropriate next steps. The Government’s Mandate to NHS England reiterated this commitment.</p><p> </p><p>On 30 November 2017, the Government published Improving Lives - The Future of Work, Health and Disability in response to the Green Paper. This builds on the commitment to identify opportunities for routine data collection about MSK incidence, prevalence, clinical activity, and outcomes. The report outlined that a data advisory group, led by Arthritis Research UK, has been examining the issue. The WHO FCTC adopted the Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products on 12 November 2012. The Government is fully committed to the Protocol. It is current UK Government policy that international treaties will not be ratified until all the legislation required for implementation has been passed by Parliament. A Command Paper setting out the UK’s plans to ratify the World Health Organization Protocol to Eliminate Illicit Trade in Tobacco Products now needs to be laid before Parliament. This implementation plan applies to England only.</p><p> </p><p>The UK Rare Disease Policy Board, which has representation of all four United Kingdom nations, oversees the implementation of the UK Strategy for Rare Diseases across the UK. The UK Rare Disease Policy Board publishes on a biennial basis an update on the implementation activities across the whole of the UK. The next report was published on 28 February 2018 and will highlight, in greater detail, initiatives and achievements across the four nations over the past two years, as well as look at UK-wide developments and challenges in the rare diseases landscape that will be important in the forward look to 2020.</p><p> </p><p>The UK is involved in European Reference Networks, virtual centres of knowledge, skills and expertise in the field of rare diseases and complex conditions, which provide a platform to create partnerships between healthcare providers. The Government supports social enterprises in various ways, including championing procurement for social value. This will allow co-operatives to use more of their resources to benefit their members. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/07/2017 answer text <p>The Government has not made an assessment of the annual cost of bank transfer scams (otherwise known as Authorised Push Payment scams) to the UK economy, because the Payment Systems Regulator (PSR) is currently undertaking work to assess the scale and scope of the problem.</p><p> </p><p>This is part of their wider programme of work to better protect consumers from these scams and reduce the damage they cause.
