star this property answer text <p>For 2018/19, we will no longer have an across-the-board policy of 1% basic pay awards. The detail of 2018/19 pay remits for specific pay review bodies, including the NHS Pay Review Body which makes recommendations on the pay award for nurses and other Agenda for Change staff, will be discussed and set out in due course. Any changes will need to be justified by evidence on recruitment and retention or by productivity gains. Departments, including the Department of Health, will continue to look at efficiency and value for money in their budgets. As health is devolved, it is for the Scottish Government to determine pay for National Health Service workers in Scotland. The Barnett Formula continues to operate normally, as per the Statement of Funding Policy.</p> more like this
