<p>Healthcare providers have been asked to ensure that there is sufficient diagnostic
capacity in COVID-19 secure environments through the use of independent sector facilities
and the development of Community Diagnostic Hubs and Rapid Diagnostic Centres. Endoscopy
capacity is being restored to normal levels, and the capacity of surgical hubs is
being expanded to meet demand.</p><p>The National Health Service has continued to
provide urgent and emergency services, including the diagnosis of cancers, throughout
the outbreak and has run the ‘Open for Business’ media campaign to encourage people
with potentially serious health issues, such as cancer, to continue to seek medical
advice and attend essential appointments.</p>
