star this property answer text <p>Defence Business Services, within the Ministry of Defence (MOD), is responsible for administering requests and orders from the Child Maintenance Service.</p><p> </p><p>In financial year 2018-19 818 deduction of earning requests were received from the Child Maintenance Service for Service personnel; of these, 129 were rejected. star this property answer text <p>The functionality of the Aspen card was thoroughly tested prior to its rollout in May 2017 and there were a number of factors which influenced the decision to move to a payment card from Post Offices.</p><p>Primarily, the sub-contractual arrangements were coming to an end, and the Asylum Registration Card (ARC) used for identification and payment purposes was being upgraded. Other factors included improved convenience and accessibility for service users, and a reduction in processing costs associated with reduced cash handling.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>The Home Office does not pay Post Office Ltd (POL) for providing either of the passport Check &amp; Send services. The handling charges by POL to passport customers applying under both the digital and paper Check &amp; Send services cover their costs of providing these services, and for the onward secure transmission of applications to Her Majesty’s Passport Office. This has been the case since the original service was introduced in 1996, and will continue to be the arrangement until the current Agreement ends on 31 August 2022.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Our contract with the Post Office Ltd is coming to an end so we took the opportunity to modernise our services through the introduction of new front end services arrangements, which were procured in 2018.</p><p>The successful supplier in this procurement was Sopra Steria Ltd. The resulting UK Visas and Citizenship Application Service (UKVCAS) brings together identity checks, evidence submission and biometric enrolment and provides more choices for the customer about the way in which they complete their application.</p> more like this
