The agreement confirms that any UK national resident in the EU by December 2020 will be able to stay in their Member State of residence and will provide citizens more certainty about healthcare, pensions and other benefits.

While the Government is preparing for a range of scenarios, including the unlikely event that we reach March 2019 without agreeing a deal, the Prime Minister stated to EU citizens on 21 September “I want to be clear with you that even in the event of no deal your rights will be protected. You are our friends, our neighbours, our colleagues. We want you to stay.”

We welcome the reassurances from a number of Member States that they will protect the interests of UK nationals living in their Member States in the unlikely event of a ‘no deal’ scenario and are urging the remaining Member States counterparts to do the same.

Some of these pensioners are with suppliers with less than 250,000 customers but who have opted to participate in WHD voluntarily. We estimate that roughly 60,000 pension credit guarantee credit recipients who would be eligible under the scheme do not receive the rebate as a result of being with a non-participating supplier

more like this

Where a person is assessed as having eligible care and support needs, these must be met by their local authority. Member to the answer I gave on 25 July 2017 to Question 5703 to the member for Bridgend (Madeleine Moon).

The Type 31e Frigate programme is currently in its pre-procurement phase. The Ministry of Defence (MOD) has issued a Request for Information to industry, inviting high level proposals against the outline requirements, cost and schedule, namely, an initial order of five ships at a maximum average price of £250 million. In common with all procurement projects, the programme cost will be determined at the main investment decision point.

The MOD has signed contracts worth a total of £635 million to build five Batch 2 Offshore Patrol Vessels. In addition to the cost of the ships, these contracts cover the cost of initial spares and support as well as being an investment in sustaining shipbuilding skills and setting the entry conditions for a successful Type 26 build programme.
more like this

There are regular discussions on climate and environment issues among Ministers, and next week the Secretary of State is hosting Ministerial colleagues to discuss how we can work together to strengthen UK ambition, and deliver transformative outcomes at the United Nations Climate Action Summit later this year. The Government has committed £5.8bn of International Climate Finance (ICF) from 2016-2021 to help developing countries tackle climate change. Since 2011 our ICF support has helped reduce or avoid 10.4 million tonnes of carbon emissions from entering the atmosphere.
more like this
